First Race of the Season at Thunder Valley, March 12th 2005

Good times at the races yesterday. Had a big clan out to see Jay race. Still trying to get all the kinks out of the dragster. It ran good, but Jay red lighted in the second round. The car was rocking into the lights after Jay hit the button. Need to fix that before we go again with it.

The Belvedere on the other hand, bad to the bone. The thing is running 10.17 at Thunder Valley. Fastest it has been at Thunder Valley. There were only two other cars faster than it in No E. It was deadly. It helps when Jay gets a PERFECT LIGHT in the third round. That bought us a bye run into the 6 cars left. Mike Griggs loaded Jay up when we got to three, but he drove a hell of a race to beat Jay.

All in all a pretty good day at the race track. Hopefully a sign of things to come this season.
